Summer is over

Oh What a week it was!  Back to work week for me, boy am I tired! Next week my kiddos go back. I'm already missing our summer fun but I LOVE the fall.  The smells. The chilly weather. The apple food! Yum! But before I break out my fall candles, cozy blankets, and hot chocolate, I thought I'd reminisce on some of our funnest & cutest picture.

And this doesn't even bring us to the fourth of July! Ahhh what a good summer!

Complaining

I feel like I have been doing this so much lately....and truly, what do I have to complain about...
Look at those faces!!!
God has been so good to me!

Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like a star in the universe.

Home...Forever!! (lots of pictures)

Yesterday was the day that a judge made it all official.  We took an oath, pledged our support, care, and love...forever.
Before

Waiting

Dylan waiting

signing paperwork after we raised our right hand and said we will forever love Mason as our son

Mason with our Social Worker Susan so Momma couldraise her right hand

while the judge was finishing paperwork, Ty and Mason played...Mason was very vocal during this whole process.
The judge even joked that if he didn't quiet down he would have to go sit with him :o)

Grammy enjoying the moment

Happy Family Day!

This has been such a journey.  With each new day we are ever more confident in God's plan for our family!  I thank all of you who have laughed, cried, prayed for and supported us through this process.  You have made such a difference to this family and we are so very, very greatful!!!

Date Night!

Tonight my oldest and I went on a date...sneaker shopping and frozen yogurt!  It was so fun to see Tyler decide what kind of shoes he wants to wear...to see his style.  Tyler has NEVER cared about what he wore.
Simple to dress? yes
fun? no

Tyler has decided that Tony Hawk knows how to dress.

My kid is growing up and I just love his heart. He trust's in the Lord, shares like no one else (except with his brother), and can see pleasure in the smallest things.  I'm such a blessed Momma!

suzie homemaker

This has been a fabulous week of homemade concoctions.  I know it's only Tuesday but
  • My kids are getting along nicely
  • I have made homemade from scratch dinners BOTH days
  • I made pancakes AND banana bread this morning
  • We went to the library and saw a magic show
now before you get any crazy ideas I know this won't last.  In two short weeks I go back to work full time and the choas begins again.  For now though I will relish in the joy of being a semi-stay at home mom.

Here's a nice picture of the boys getting along nicely!
p.s.  I don't see the mess either :0p
Oh and no snikering laughs about my two day accoplishment of home made goods...ok ...it is kind of sad....but let me have my little celebrations :o)

Beach week...with Pictures

Another week closer to the start of school.  I love back to school time BUT I'm not ready yet.  So let me share the fun we had last week...
We were at  the beach with the WHOLE family for a WHOLE week!

It was so fun,
so loud
and so memorable!

OH and Tyler turned 10 at the beach.  He is growing up so fast.  God has big plans for that kid!!

Dylan and Devin (Ty's cousin) decorated this tree as Tyler's birthday tree

This boy LOVES sand

Dylan's favorite past time besides swimming out to the dock, collecting sea creatures, and building sand castles. This is my beach kid!

His first beach towel...and it had a monkey on it!

Who doesn't love baby toes with sand on them?!?!
And this was my quiet place! This is the only reason I like the beach. I love to sit here in the morning!  This I will miss...
Till next year!

Last but certainly not least we recieved word that Mason's medical insurance request was denied. And while we are bummed it now means all the paperwork has been sent to the courts and we now just wait for a date. Hopefully by the end of August I can share REAL pictures...of his face!
I dream of the day when that judge pronounces Mason Peter as part of our family forever!
Then we celebrate (and post LOTS of pictures)...
Can't Wait!!
